What brought you to Legal Aid?
Pursuing a career in public interest has always been a priority of mine. During law school, I had many friends who clerked with Legal Aid and I always had a lot of respect for the work this organization does. When this position opened up, it seemed like the perfect fit for me with my experience volunteering with a domestic violence shelter and my passion for public interest.
What do you find most compelling about the UPLIFT Project?
I really found it interesting how community focused this project was. The UPLIFT project expands the ability to help the community by going to the community centers and working with both clients and advocates to help underserved communities in Lincoln receive legal services.
Where did you complete your law degree?
I graduated from University of Nebraska – Lincoln with my JD and my masters in political science in December 2022.
Who has inspired you the most in your career/legal journey?
There are too many to credit, but my parents definitely helped me get to where I am in my career with their support. I also have had some great mentors in undergrad and law school who inspired me to pursue my passions.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy baking, swimming laps, thrifting, or going on hikes. I also love watching New Girl with my dog on the couch.
